All people should try to live a life that creates as little waste as possible. From recycling newspaper, to raising a flock of chickens. There are simple things we all can do to try and achieve this goal. In many ways, running my business not only helps me live a life free of waste, but gives me the opportunity to help others in that endeavor as well.
Millions of shipping pallets are sent to the landfill every year. I've found a way to recycle some of these pallets and turn them into unique and rustic pieces of furniture. Not only does this prevent pallets from being wasted, but it prevents more wood from being wasted in regular furniture.

Crafting the Furniture
The process of creating pallet furniture begins with, of course, a source of pallets. For me that is local schools and businesses. The next step is taking the pallets to a place where you can take them apart. When the dismantling of the pallets is complete, you use the material you've "collected" to create all sorts of unique furniture, including coffee tables, shelve, coat hangers, end tables, and much more. There is so much you can do when it comes to pallet furniture.
